Update and Apologies

Well, what a week it has been!

First off, I hope you like the new look. I wanted to go with something more Fall themed but I couldn't find anything that satisfied me. But I love blue and yellow, always have.

So the week started out fine, Russ had the week off to study for his exam. So I was mainly downstairs by myself while he did his thing upstairs. Then  all of a sudden, the laptop died! All of my stuff I had saved, picture, websites, DIY ideas....no longer available! What's a girl to do?!

The good news is it is just the power cord that needs replacing. The bad news is that I don't know when we will be able to find one. Best Buy had the universal ones, but I have something in my blood that will NOT let me pay $70-100 for a power cord. It's just ridiculous. So I'm searching online for one. Wish me luck.

Something else that's not working....my phone's email. We just got the phones, so I expect them to be up to speed, but I emailed myself several pictures that we're going to help make up a nice blog post for you to read....but it's been 4 days! I still haven't received them.

So I don't know. I'm sure they'll make it to my inbox sometime. Until then, I hope everyone has a great Labor Day weekend!!! We are having a BBQ at Leesylvania (SP?) Park with some friends.

AND!!! Today marks 6 years since Russ and I met (face to face) for the first time! It was during hurricane Katrina on Labor Day weekend. Our small town's only motel had 1 room left for only 1 night. (Long enough for mom to figure out he wasn't a serial killer lol). The rest is history!!!

Love you all and hope to have more for you next time. Sorry for no pictures. Me and the Mac are having to adjust to each other.

  1. Well now child of mine, you don't need to apologize for not paying that for a power cord, I call it smart.
I remember you telling me about this guy who you had been talking to online and him calling you way back then. All I knew was this guy was in the Navy and he was someone you wanted to meet. Well as your momma I knew it was important to you but I sure wasn't inviting some man to stay in our home who I knew nothing about. But to say a lot about Russell, he only stayed at the motel for one nite. Impressive young man then and I am proud to have him as a son-in-law. And if you thought I was worried about it when Russell came up, just remember what Ma had to say to me. LOL. Just tell him that he's my favorite son-in-law!!
Now why was there nothing about my grandbaby to be in this post?
    Love you
    Momma
